History tells us that it was the Etruscan civilisation which introduced this agricultural activity in the area and olive trees have never left the hills of Fiesole since then, becoming a symbol as well as a cultural value. This is the reason why the Distretto Biologico di Fiesole (Organic District of Fiesole) was born, acknowledged by the Tuscan region, building a local organic oliviculture supply chain in Fiesole.<\/p>\n\n
