Tradition, innovation and quality
The Buonamici Farm nestles in the hills of Fiesole, just outside Florence, Tuscany, in an area where olives have been grown for centuries.
In addition to olives, we grow the vegetables that are used in the soups produced by the farm. The oil is pressed and bottled on the farm, ensuring quality control and traceability of the finished product.
A distillate used in our natural cosmetics is extracted from the olive leaves.
The farm covers an area of 250 hectares, with 20,000 olive trees cultivated in accordance with rigorous EU rules on organic farming (EEC Council Reg. 2092/91).
The farm has been organic since 1995 and is certified by ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification); it also holds European certificate ISO9001. In 2005 the farm was awarded the Tuscan Region’s ecoefficiency prize, the "Premio Toscana Eco-efficienza", in recognition of the energy savings obtained by the biomass furnace fuelled by olive stones.
Buonamici products can be found on the shelves of the major Italian supermarkets, Harrods of London and Käfer in Munich, as well as specialist shops and top Italian restaurants.
